Blood transfusions are vital for many cancer patients to help replenish their bodies after grueling chemotherapy treatments. They're also critical aid for patients with blood cancers. In total, approximately 25% of the nation's blood supply helps patients fighting cancer.

You can support the fight against cancer and help patients in your community by donating blood at Kentucky Blood Center. In recognition of national awareness of cancer in September and October, all donors who give blood will receive a “Fight Cancer” T-shirt as a thank you for their lifesaving donation (excluding select high school, vocational schools and colleges).

Donors must be at least 17 years old (16 with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds, be in general good health, show a photo I.D. and meet additional requirements.
