‘Tis the season to be giving with Kentucky Blood Center.

Winter is an especially difficult time for blood centers as donations typically slow due to weather and illness. To ensure lifesaving blood is on the shelves for local patients when needed, KBC is urging donors to give by making a blood donation.

Donors who give blood with Kentucky Blood Center on the dates below will receive a great “Happy Y’allidays” T-shirt:

  • Donor centers: Nov. 1-12 and Nov. 19–Dec. 17
  • Mobile drives: Nov. 1-12 and Nov. 19–Dec. 22

Without a healthy supply, patients who need blood for everything from cancer treatments to premature births, surgeries, anemia, diseases, car accidents and more are at risk. One in four people will need a blood transfusion in their lifetime.
