We are feeling the summer vibes at Kentucky Blood Center, but we need donors to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable summer.
Between warm-weather activities, family vacations and no school, donations typically dwindle during the summer months, but the need for blood doesn’t take a vacation. Summer activities often lead to an increase in accidents and traumas and a spike in transfusions.
As a thank you for giving blood at KBC, donors will receive a "Donor Vibes" T-shirt on the following dates:

Donors must be at least 17 years old (16 with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds, be in general good health, show a photo I.D. and meet additional requirements. Sixteen-year-old donors must have a signed parental permission slip, which can be found at kybloodcenter.org.
