Save a life, and show your Wildcat pride. Donate blood Jan. 22-26 to help Kentucky slam the Gators in the 10th annual Big Blue Slam blood battle.
Donate blood, and you’ll receive a commemorative Slam T-shirt, perfect for showing your Wildcat pride during basketball season.
Click here to find a Slam drive near you. KBC’s five donor centers will be open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. during Slam.
You can also donate at the 6th annual Blood Drive at Rupp Arena on Monday, Jan. 22. Donors will get an up-close view of the Cats’ home court and get to take shots on the same floor where so many basketball legends have delivered the thrill of victory to the Big Blue Nation. Kentucky Sports Radio’s Matt Jones will host a live broadcast of his midday show from the blood drive.
Those of you who made your second Bleed Blue Donor Club donation during Big Blue Crush are just one donation away from earning your blue Tervis tumbler. You’ll get it when you donate during Big Blue Slam at a donor center, UK campus drive or Rupp Arena.
Big Blue Slam is a friendly competition between the blood donors of Kentucky and Florida. It’s a fun tradition, but most importantly, Slam donations help ensure enough blood is on the shelves for the thousands of Kentucky and Florida patients who will require transfusions during the winter. Kentucky won last year and leads the competition, 5 to 4.
