More than half of the blood collected by Kentucky Blood Center (KBC) is collected at blood drives set up at locations, such as factories, churches, schools and community centers.

These mobile blood drives are coordinated by volunteers.

Blood Drive Coordinators do everything from selecting the date for a drive to ensuring an adequate location and recruiting blood donors.

With the help of these dedicated volunteers, KBC is able to reach donors where they live, work and worship.
